In tonight’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Abhira is anxious, worried about Maira’s big day at her school event. Maira rehearses her speech, fueled by her dream of becoming a lawyer, while Abhira silently hopes that Maira will present herself confidently in front of the audience. A boy approaches Maira and cruelly claims that Abhira is in jail. Hurt, Maira asks him not to speak ill of her mother, but the boy ridicules her instead.
Suddenly, Abhira becomes restless and emotional, sensing Maira’s anguish from afar. She is puzzled by the tears streaming down her face without any clear reason. Meanwhile, Armaan asks Abhir to inform Abhira that Maira’s function is about to begin. Just then, a teacher comes up to Armaan and informs him about the scuffle between Maira and the boy. Armaan rushes over to find the boy lying on the ground, crying, while Maira stands firmly. When Armaan asks what happened, Maira calmly explains that the boy had insulted Abhira, falsely claiming that she was in jail.
Geetanjali’s realisation:
The boy’s mother demands an apology from Maira for the incident. Armaan tries to apologise on Maira’s behalf, but the lady insists that Maira herself must apologise. Armaan refuses, insisting that Maira shouldn’t apologise for something she didn’t do. Watching quietly, Geetanjali notices how fiercely Maira is standing up for Abhira and realises that Abhira has now become the most important person in Maira’s heart, taking her own place.
Elsewhere, Abhira pleads with the inspector to allow her a moment to speak with Maira, but her request is denied. She continues to worry, praying that Maira remains unharmed and emotionally safe. Back at the function, Armaan attempts to calm Maira and talk to her. Maira confronts him directly, asking if Abhira is really in jail. Armaan evades her question, but Maira insists that he call Abhira and reveal the truth. Vidya scolds Maira for her bluntness toward Armaan, but Maira remains resolute, determined to hear from Abhira herself.
Maira learns the truth:
At that critical moment, Tanya shocks Maira by revealing that Abhira is a murderer and currently in jail. Krish immediately scolds Tanya, pointing out that Maira is far too young to process such a truth. Emotionally, Tanya confesses that even she struggles to handle Anshuman’s revelations and calls Abhira a criminal. Armaan furiously demands that Tanya stop speaking. Tanya counters, saying Maira deserves to know Abhira’s real identity. Maira, outraged, shouts at Armaan to silence Tanya. Kaveri steps in, instructing Manisha to take Maira away and calm her down.
Armaan lashes out at Tanya for revealing such a harsh truth to Maira, while Krish acknowledges Tanya’s mistake but asks Armaan to empathise with her pain. Armaan reminds everyone that Tanya may be grieving, but she has no right to harm a seven-year-old child emotionally. A tense confrontation escalates between Armaan and Krish, with Krish insisting that their fight is about securing Anshuman’s justice, while Armaan argues that only he and Abhira are genuinely pursuing justice, accusing Krish and Tanya of using it as a reason to inflict pain. Vidya and Kajal also get into a heated argument, while Armaan’s concern for Maira deepens.
Manisha gently comforts Maira, and Kaveri reassures her. Grateful for Kaveri’s understanding of Maira’s emotions, Armaan thanks her. Kaveri advises him to remain focused on Abhira’s case. Meanwhile, Abhira learns that Maira has uncovered the truth. Determined, Armaan promises to get Abhira released from jail as soon as possible.
