Rasmus Hojlund is leaving Manchester United to sign with Napoli for the 2025/26 season, and potentially beyond.

Manchester United had high hopes for Rasmus Hojlund when the club spent £64 million to sign him from Atalanta in 2023.

The Dane’s stint at Old Trafford now looks to be at an end after two years, with Hojlund surplus to requirements following Benjamin Sesko’s arrival.

Hojlund is now set to seal his transfer to Napoli following an agreement with the Italian club.

The Serie A champions are now preparing to seal the transfer deal over the next 24 hours.

Rasmus Hojlund set to undergo Napoli medical

Manchester United have given Rasmus Hojlund permission to fly to Italy to seal his exit and conduct the formalities of his move.

TMW report Hojlund will undergo his medical with Napoli before signing his contract, where he will join former Manchester United teammate Scott McTominay.

Napoli reached out to Manchester United to sign Joshua Zirkzee originally after Romelu Lukaku suffered an injury.

United informed Napoli that Zirkzee was not available but Hojlund was on the market, and a deal has progressed.

Hojlund wanted to stay at United but it was made clear to him that he did not figure in Ruben Amorim’s plans.
