One dead in Hwy 2A crash, north of Red Deer

One person has died in a collision north of Red Deer on Saturday.

RCMP say it was just after 9:30 a.m. when they received a report of a serious two-vehicle crash between an SUV and motorcycle on Highway 2A.

Upon arrival, the 48-year-old motorcyclist, a resident of Blackfalds, was deceased.

The SUV driver, an 18-year-old female resident of Red Deer, was taken to hospital with injuries.
