CEDAR FALLS— Central College women’s golf sophomore Allie Pfantz (State Center, West Marshall HS) shot a 78 Sunday to secure a top-10 finish at the Kohawk Classic
The Dutch finished ninth as a team (337-333—670) and Mount Mercy University won the team title with a 297-302—599. The meet was held on the par-72 Pheasant Hill Golf Course.
Pfantz’s two-day total of 77-78—155 was good for 10th place and led the way for the Dutch women as she finished the tournament with three birdies.
Mickey Martens (junior, Villa Park, Ill., Willowbrook HS) placed 37th (80-87–167), Chloe Sundet (sophomore, Urbandale, Waukee Northwest HS was 39th (87-81–168), Bella Keaveney (sophomore, Hubbard, South Hardin HS) was 58th (93-87– 180) and Karlee Koehler (freshman, Mingo, Baxter HS) was 66th (94-102—196).
Central travels to Waverly and Prairie Links Golf Course for the Wartburg Invitational next Saturday and Sunday.
