A new 30-second teaser trailer for Gen V has just been released, and within it, viewers can catch a glimpse of a familiar character who Homelander thought was great use to him in The Boys. Gen V season 2 will premiere on Prime Video on September 17, 2025.
Michele Fazekas serves as the showrunner for Gen V’s second season. The spin-off show stars Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Hamish Linklater, and Sean Patrick Thomas. The series is the first live-action spin-off of The Boys. The show’s first season premiered on September 29, 2023.
The new teaser for Gen V depicts the fight to stop Project Odessa and showcases many major character crossovers from The Boys, including the “supes” Homelander, Firecracker, Starlight, and Sister Sage, with the latter of whom being known as Homelander’s secret weapon. The teaser trailer also features plenty of explosions and Black Noir taking a selfie. Check out the teaser below:
What This Means For Gen V Season 2

In this teaser, Project Odessa, which was created back during WW2 within The Boys lore, is brought up in the trailer. The fact that so many notable characters from The Boys are going to appear in Gen V’s second season indicates that their appearances may be connected to Project Odessa. Many secrets related to Project Odessa may very well end up getting revealed in Gen V’s sophomore season.
The Boys’ fifth and final season has wrapped filming and will premiere sometime in 2026.
Sister Sage showing up in the trailer also indicates a possible battle between the Gen V students and the older “supes” from The Boys. In The Boys, Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) partners up with Homelander. This means that she may be working undercover for Homelander in order to spy on the kids of Godolkin University. Sage’s appearance also suggests Homelander may show up in some capacity as well.

Sister Sage was a fantastic addition to the colorful cast of characters in The Boys season 4, so seeing her pop up in the new Gen V season 2 teaser is nothing short of exciting. Heyward’s performance as the plotting “supe” is underrated, with the actress providing enough wit and mysterious energy to really sell the character.
Exploring Project Odessa in season 2 should also be a very engaging plot point, and may pull in more viewers than season 1 of Gen V. People who love The Boys will realize secrets from that series may be revealed in this spin-off, so they may tune in. This teaser suggests that Gen V season 2 will be a monumental piece of television and will answer burning questions surrounding the The Boys franchise.
