Game status report for Fever’s game tomorrow against the Valkyries now includes Chloe Bibby again. After missing three games then being available (but not playing) against Los Angeles, she’s questionable with the same left knee injury.

With only a day in between Indiana’s (21-18) Friday victory over the Los Angeles Sparks and Sunday night’s clash vs. the Golden State Valkyries (20-1), the Fever released their game status report Saturday evening, which included a potentially concerning addition as the team prepares for another crucial game at Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

While the Fever’s 76-75 win over the Sparks maintained their No. 6 spot and expanded the team’s separation from No. 9-place Los Angeles in the WNBA entering Sunday’s contest, Indiana holds a razor-thin 1/2-game lead over Golden State, which currently sits at No. 8.

According to the IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson, the Fever’s Saturday game status report listed Caitlin Clark as out. Similar to Friday’s report, the former Hawkeye will remain out as she continues to increase her workload throughout individualized drills and non-contact practices, with the goal of making a potential return in the regular season’s final few games.

Given that there has not been any follow-up information provided on Clark’s recovery status since head coach Stephanie White’s comments on Tuesday, the one-day break between games makes the 2024 No. 1 pick’s 18th consecutive game missed due to the right groin injury almost expected.

Assuming Clark’s status remains unchanged once again, Sunday’s game will bring her total injury-related absences to 27 regular-season contests and 28 overall, including the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final.

Additionally, Peterson noted that forward Chloe Bibby appears on the list as “questionable” with the same left knee discomfort that kept the wing out for three games between August 22 to August 29.

If the Australian-born forward cannot suit up for Sunday night’s game, Indiana will be forced to play with 10 healthy players. Interestingly, the Fever only saw nine players record minutes on Friday, as Stephanie White elected not to use Bibby and forward Makayla Timpson.

With the Fever having only four games remaining on their 2025 regular season schedule beyond Sunday’s contest and the Valkyries having five left, the results of the final meeting between the two could drastically swing the perception of each team’s playoff potential, especially with how slim the margins are between the No. 6 and No. 8 spots.

Sunday’s game against the Valkyries will begin at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on NBA TV.
