With all the pressure to make some big signings this offseason, Patrik Allvin has done the best with what he has to work with, the same goes for the Abbotsford Canucks who are doing their best to find top prospects that hopefully turn out to be solid NHLer’s one day.

Where the team has lacked is making the big splashes that are going to take them to the next level, which they desperately need if they want to get back to the Stanley Cup Playoff’s again in 2025-26.

Abbotsford Canucks doing their part to try and improve prospect pool

One thing where the Canucks lack is in their prospect pool, and a new announcement on Sunday shows that their American Hockey League affiliate in Abbotsford is trying its best to improve the situation.

The Abbotsford Canucks signed North Vancouver native Jayden Lee to a minor league deal.

North Vancouver’s Jayden Lee has signed with the Abbotsford Canucks. 24-year old d-man, former captain, and national champion with Quinnipiac now gets to rep his hometown organization.

The 5’9 puck-moving defenseman and former captain of Quinnipiac University brings a high level pedigree to his hometown team.

It is a great signing by the AHL club and if he can continue to develop, then there is no reason why he cant make his way up to the big club at some point.
