Sonance will be showing its new UA Series local zone utility DSP amplifiers at CEDIA Expo 2025 this month.

The Sonance UA Series local zone amplifiers deliver robust DSP amplification in an ultra-compact form factor specifically designed for local zone applications. The new lineup includes the UA 2-125 and UA 2-125 ARC, both engineered to provide 125 watts per channel with fully capable DSP and Bluetooth-enabled app setup for bedroom and TV music, outdoor entertainment, or any two-channel location with space limitations.

The UA Series amplifiers measure 5.25″ x 1.875″ x 7.825″ with a unique T-slot heatsink chassis that allows for flexible installation into TV back boxes, structured wiring cans, or Atelix-type outdoor-rated enclosures. Both models feature DSP with Bluetooth-enabled app setup, enabling integrators to configure and tune systems remotely without additional hardware.

“The UA Series addresses the growing need for local zone amplification in spaces where traditional rack-mounted amplifiers simply don’t fit,” says Skylar Gray, Product Director at Sonance. “With integrated DSP and Bluetooth setup, these amplifiers provide professional-grade functionality in applications previously limited to basic amplification solutions.”

The UA 2-125 features comprehensive connectivity including analog RCA inputs, digital optical and coax inputs, plus analog RCA outputs with volume tracking. The UA 2-125 ARC model adds HDMI eARC/CEC functionality, enabling direct connection to modern displays with support for two-channel PCM up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution to unlock simple audio control for secondary TV applications.

Both models include intelligent control features including Audio Sense and IR Control with learning capability; HDMI CEC integration (ARC model); Bluetooth-enabled app for remote setup and configuration; and power sharing capability delivering up to 250W to a single 4-ohm load. The integrated heatsink/chassis design with industry-standard T-slot mounting provides secure installation while maintaining optimal thermal performance in confined spaces.

Key performance specifications include 20Hz-20kHz frequency response; less than 0.1% total harmonic distortion; signal-to-noise ratio greater than 100dB; and 125W RMS per channel (stereo) and 250W (single channel bridged).

The products will be at the Sonance booth #3501 at CEDIA Expo 2025, which takes place September 3-6, 2025 in Denver.
