It appears the recent teases of AJ Lee returning to WWE are true. And a new report suggests she’ll be back in the ring sooner rather than later.

Sunday’s WWE Clash in Paris premium live event ended with Becky Lynch siding with her husband, Seth Rollins, on screen to take down CM Punk. This immediately led to online reports and speculation that Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, was on her way back to the company.

The fans of speculation were flamed the following day on WWE RAW when an in-ring back-and-forth promo took place between Lynch and Punk. With SmackDown scheduled for Punk’s hometown of Chicago this Friday, it appears AJ could return as early as this week.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer confirmed to his Twitter subscribers this afternoon that the working plan for WWE Wrestlepalooza is CM Punk and AJ Lee going up against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, tweeting out:

“So Punk & AJ vs. Seth & Becky is planned for WrestlePalooza,” Bryan Alvarez said in a post.

Fightful (via Fightful Select) later confirmed the initial report by F4WOnline.com.

It appears WWE is looking to pull out all the stops for its first premium live event on ESPN. The event will also go head-to-head with AEW All Out the same evening.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
