The Department of Jobs, Immigration and Growth is encouraging individuals and employers affected by the recent wildfires in Conception Bay North to register for employment supports through its Employment Response Team.
Individuals whose employment has been impacted are asked to complete the Request for Service form to access targeted employment services.
Employers whose operations have been impacted can register for support by emailing EmploymentPrograms@gov.nl.ca. Additionally, employers interested in hiring individuals impacted by the wildfires are invited to reach out via the same email address. This will help facilitate timely job matching and workforce recovery.
By registering, individuals and organizations will receive personalized assistance from the Employment Response Team, to help ensure a coordinated response to the wildfire crisis. The team will assign staff to support job search and human resources support, including issuing invitations to upcoming job fairs and resume writing supports.
For in-person assistance, individuals and employers are welcome to drop in at the Carbonear Employment Centre, located at 17 Industrial Crescent.
