The Grizzlies were one of several teams looking to trade for Prosper earlier in the off-season, per Charania, before the Mavericks eventually waived him to sign guard Dante Exum.
The Montreal, Que., native averaged 3.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 52 games last season while playing 11.2 minutes a night.
He underwent surgery on his right wrist in March and missed the last month of the season.
Prosper was selected with the 24th overall pick in the 2023 draft by the Sacramento Kings and traded shortly after to Dallas alongside Richaun Holmes for cash considerations.
