Expect delays on your evening commute: the same overpass on Anthony Henday Drive has been hit again.
Strathcona County reported on Facebook at 3:30 p.m. Thursday that a vehicle carrying an excavator hit the Whitemud Overpass on the northbound Anthony Henday.
If this sounds familiar, it’s because it is. Back in June 2023, another truck hauling an excavator damaged the same overpass.
Social media users were quick to notice, with many pointing out the deja vu for drivers.
Emergency services are directing traffic at the scene on Highway 216 and the Whitemud Overpass (southeast leg), so drivers should expect slowdowns.
