Xiaomi has quietly confirmed that a host of smartphones will not be receiving its new HyperOS 3 update globally. Currently, the Xiaomi 11T Pro is one of half a dozen devices that will remain stuck on older updates going forward.
Xiaomi has now launched HyperOS 3 in China as its next major mobile software update. To recap, the company has offered its new update to eight devices so far in beta form, including the Pad 7 Pro (curr. $679 on Amazon). As it stands, the following devices are eligible to receive HyperOS 3 Beta updates in China:
Redmi K80 Extreme EditionRedmi K80 ProXiaomi 15Xiaomi 15 ProXiaomi 15 UltraXiaomi 15S ProXiaomi Pad 7 ProXiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5
Moreover, over a dozen other devices will gain HyperOS 3 Beta access later this month. However, Xiaomi Adictos has discovered that quite a few existing smartphones are unlikely to receive Xiaomi’s next OS update when it reaches stable status. For the time being, Xiaomi has not published a global eligibility list for now.
In lieu of that, Xiaomi Adictos has observed that six recent Redmi, Poco and Xiaomi smartphones will stop receiving updates later this month. Given that even security updates will end after this date, it seems improbable that any would make the move from HyperOS 2 to HyperOS 3. The list of devices that appear set to miss out on HyperOS 3 globally are as follows:
