Spectrum customers in a large part of central Kennewick lost internet service Friday afternoon and it was expected to be knocked out for hours.
The company sent a service alert shortly after 3 p.m. announcing that an outage was affecting the area.
Service is expected to be restored around 7:30 p.m., said the notice.
A Spectrum representative told the Herald the area affected stretched from south of 10th Avenue to 27th Avenue west of Highway 395, including the Creekstone area.
No other information was immediately available about what caused the outage.
