Parsons’ availability is no doubt a boon for the Packers, but just how much he plays will remain in question until kickoff.
Rapoport reported on Saturday that Parsons is expected to primarily focus on rushing the passer vs. the Lions, and a full compliment of plays for Parsons will follow a ramp-up period.
One of the game’s premier pass rushers, Parsons heads into Sunday with 52.5 career sacks. Four of those sacks have come in his last three season openers. He’ll be aiming for another stellar start to the season — and his Packers tenure.
Parsons and Green Bay kick off against Detroit at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
