The Runnin’ Bulldogs are coming off a 2-1 defeat at The Citadel on Thursday afternoon in Charleston
Freshman forward Ila Allred scored her second goal of the season at The Citadel, with freshman midfielder Bailey Pottratz recording her first GWU assist
Junior forward Olivia Tribolet was on the score sheet on last Sunday night against SC State, scoring her first career brace and adding an assist on her way to Big South Offensive Player of The Week
Dating back to the 2022 season, senior defender Camila Lezcano is set to make her 64th career appearance for the Runnin’ Bulldogs on Sunday, the most appearances for the team
Bryant meanwhile is due to make her 40th career appearance for the Runnin’ Bulldogs while junior midfielder Lily Stegall will mark her 41st game for GWU
Graduate forward Annie Slovak, who made her Gardner-Webb debut with 36 minutes as a substitute against Stetson has continued with significant minutes off the bench in each game so far including with two shots at The Citadel, will mark her 69th collegiate game between Gardner-Webb and Liberty with action on Sunday
Mercer will be the second of four consecutive road games for the Runnin’ Bulldogs, with match-ups at College of Charleston on September 11th and Longwood on September 20th to follow
34 players saw the pitch for GWU last Sunday against SC State, including 19 minutes from freshman defender Emma O’Rourke, 26 minutes from freshman midfielder Eleni Lagusis, 17 minutes from freshman forward Ella Meccia, and 17 minutes from freshman midfielder Ellie Breitenstein, among several others

Gardner-Webb trails the all-time NCAA Division I series 2-7-1, with wins in 2004 and 2006
Former ASUN Conference members together, Mercer and GWU first met in 2002, a 1-0 Mercer win in Macon
The Runnin’ Bulldogs first win in the series was a 5-0 win in Boiling Springs in 2004 that remains the largest by either side
Six of the 10 meetings have been decided by one goal, along with two ties, including the 2006 ASUN Semifinals where Gardner-Webb advanced 6-5 on penalties
The two schools have met four times as non-conference opponents in 2014, 2015, 2019 and 2023, with Mercer winning three and with one draw
