Event Details
In addition to Bentley and Morris, several other former footballers will step into the ring on October 18 at Grosvenor Hotel in Mayfair, London.
The organizers hope to raise £500,000 for various charities, including Playskill, Sport In Mind, Willow Foundation, and Helping Hands.
Among the participants: Curtis Davies vs. Paddy Kenny, Leroy Lita vs. David Noble, Lee Trundle vs. Anthony Gardner, and Greg Halford vs. Marvin Elliott.
Graham Stack, 43, comments on the project:
“Pro Project Promotions is where the fiercest rivalries of football meet the brutal power of boxing. These legends are stepping out of their comfort zone to throw punches with purpose. A star-studded crowd, world-class entertainment, and a mission to change lives – this evening will be remembered in history.”
The project has received support from many stars, including former footballers Peter Crouch, Joe Cole, and Ray Parlour, as well as former boxing world champion Darren Barker.
Jody Morris has already shared photos from his training with Barker on Instagram.
The charity event promises bright moments and plenty of emotions. Footballers, used to the field, will try their hand in the ring, which promises to be spectacular.
This initiative shows how sports can combine entertainment with charity, and the funds raised will go to important projects to support those in need.
