Charlie Cummings gives his top DraftKings WNBA Pick6 plays and projections for the three-game WNBA slate on Tuesday, September 9th.

WNBA action on Tuesday will kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is WNBA Pick6.

This article will examine my top WNBA Pick6 plays for today’s action. You simply choose whether each set statistic will be more or less than the set number. With the stage ready, here are my favorite picks on the WNBA Pick6 slate.

A’ja Wilson More Than 25.5 Points Scored

You want to talk about crazy streaks? Look no further than A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces.
They’ve won 14 straight games, completely flipping the script on their season in one dominant run. It’s also catapulted A’ja to the forefront of the MVP conversation, as she’s averaged 27.4 PPG over that span—including eight 30-point games. She’s posted three straight 30-point outings and just broke the league record for most 30-point games in a season.

The only real obstacle for Wilson in this game? Chicago’s inability to compete. If the Aces blow the Sky out early, A’ja may spend significant time on the bench. And time on the bench means fewer points. Still, if it is a blowout, she’ll likely be the driving force behind it.

Aliyah Boston More Than 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Initially, this looked like a less-than spot. Going up against the Minnesota Lynx with Napheesa Collier and Alanna Smith patrolling the paint is no easy assignment. But with the Lynx locked into their playoff seed, they’re sitting Phee for this one—opening the door for a strong Boston performance.

Adding to that, DiJonai Carrington is also out—another reliable defender removed from the equation. With Indiana pushing hard to improve their seeding (and crucially, avoid the red-hot Aces in Round 1), expect Boston to log heavy minutes and stuff the stat sheet.

Breanna Stewart Less Than 27.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Two WNBA playoff teams have nothing left to play for in terms of seeding. The Lynx have clinched the top seed. The Liberty are locked into the sixth. That puts New York in a weird spot: nothing to gain, nothing to lose.

Breanna Stewart continues to ramp up after a deep bone bruise, logging 36 minutes in her last game and putting up 24 points, seven boards, and four assists in a win over Seattle. But now, with seeding irrelevant and the playoffs looming, the urgency is gone.

My gut says the Liberty will still give their starters a decent run, but probably not a full workload. Add in the fact they’re facing a Mystics team that’s lost nine straight—many of them blowouts—and it’s tough to count on Stewie going nuclear in a game that may not demand it.

Veronica Burton More Than 5.5 Assists

No breakout star has been more impressive than Veronica Burton. She’s the clear front-runner for Most Improved Player, and for good reason. Her playmaking has been elite, turning her into one of the best pass-first guards in the league. Burton’s ability to read defenses and deliver timely dimes has been a key reason the Valkyries made history as the first expansion team to reach the playoffs in their debut season.

I know there are a lot of sports happening right now, but this and-one from Northwestern’s own (!!) Veronica Burton to help take the Valkyries to the WNBA playoffs in Year 1 in front of a huge crowd is pretty freaking cool and people should see it. pic.twitter.com/47dSeJMQHx

In her last eight games, Burton is averaging 9.1 assists and has recorded 6+ assists in six of those eight contests. Even at a sub-1.0x payout, she’s a worthy addition to your Pick6 card to round out the slate with some high-floor value.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether or not you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.

How to Play

Create a Pick Set

Create a Pick Set for WNBA Pick6 by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice, and you must pick players from at least two different teams.

Enter an Amount

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.

Sweat Your Picks

When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
