The Washington Mystics fell to the Indiana Fever, 94–65, on Sunday afternoon from CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.
Rookie guard Sonia Citron paced Washington with 17 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting, adding two rebounds, one block, and one steal. With the performance, Citron set a new single-season scoring record in franchise history (644 points), surpassing former Mystic Brittney Sykes’ 631 points from 2023.
Citron also climbed into third place on the WNBA’s all-time rookie leaderboard for three-pointers made in a season (78), passing legends Tamika Catchings and Crystal Robinson. Citron scored 13 of her 17 points in the first half, marking her fifth game this year with double-figure scoring before the break.
Kiki Iriafen added 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal. With her efforts, she moved into ninth place on the Mystics’ single-season scoring list (568), passing Nikki McCray, Chamique Holdsclaw, and Crystal Langhorne.
Iriafen also logged her 30th game this season with at least 10 points and five rebounds, the most in a season by any Mystics player, and the third-most by a rookie in WNBA history.
Shakira Austin tallied 11 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks, becoming the 10th player in franchise history to surpass 100 career blocks. It was her 20th game this season with double-figure points and at least five boards.
Off the bench, Jade Melbourne led the team with five assists, notching her 10th game of the year with five or more helpers, a new single-season career high.
Emily Engstler tied for a game-high with seven rebounds, her 10th performance of five or more boards in a reserve role.
Sug Sutton added a defensive spark, recording her ninth multi-steal game of the season.
