Indiana men’s soccer is atop the college soccer landscape for the first time since the first poll of the 2021 season.

No other Big Ten team is in the top 25, but both Maryland and Michigan are receiving votes.

The poll is also littered with former Indiana opponents.

At No. 20 is the University of San Francisco, which Indiana defeated 3-2 on Aug. 24. And rounding out the list is Saint Louis, which fell eight spots to No. 24 following a loss to the Hoosiers.

Indiana also notched three Big Ten Player of the Week honors — graduate student Holden Brown fielded his second-straight Goalkeeper of the Week award, redshirt junior Breckin Minzey secured Defensive Player of the Week and junior Collins Oduro earned Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The Hoosiers play their first game as the top-ranked team in the nation against Michigan at 8 p.m. Saturday at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
