Armenia grabbed a 2-1 win over the Republic of Ireland to get their first points on the board in Group F.
The first half was fairly even, with chances at both ends, but just before the break Eduard Spertsyan put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot.

After the restart, the tempo dipped a little, though the goals kept coming. Grant-Leon Ranos doubled Armenia’s lead, before Evan Ferguson pulled one back for Ireland.
The visitors pushed late on and thought they’d levelled, but in the end, Armenia held firm to collect their first three points of the campaign, while Ireland stay stuck on just one.
