Two members of the Swift Current Broncos are off to get a taste of “the show.”
Defencemen Peyton Kettles and Josh McGregor are attending NHL rookie camps.
Kettles was picked by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2nd round of the 2025 NHL Draft.
He was a 1st round pick by Swift Current in the WHL Prospects Draft and is entering his third season in the league.
McGregor is a free agent invite to Carolina’s camp.
He was also undrafted in the WHL and earned significant ice time with the Broncos as a 17-year-old rookie last season.
Both players will be a big part of a Swift Current defensive corps that can return up to six players this season.
While they’re getting some NHL experience, the Broncos wrap up their pre-season on Friday in Brandon and on Saturday in Virden.
