BKFC 80 fight week is here. On the eve of this year’s version of Noche UFC, the fight schedule for the weekend gets going in The Sunshine State of Florida with another night of competitive violence from David Feldman’s promotion.

After the promotion’s Aug. 30 card from Budva, Montenegro was halted before the scheduled co-main event took place by adverse weather conditions, there are no atmospheric concerns to be had for this weekend’s show. Friday’s card (7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT, DAZN) is held indoors from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL.

The countdown show begins the evening at 6 pm ET/ 3 pm PT. All told, if there are no adjustments needed to be made to the bout order between now and this coming Friday night, the final version of BKFC 80 will feature a slate of eight fights.

BKFC makes a return visit to Uncasville for BKFC Mohegan Sun Saturday.

BKFC 80 Main Event: No. 1 Contender Leonardo Perdomo vs. No. 4 Contender Arnold Adams II

At the top of the bill on Friday night, you’ll be seeing a rematch between No. 1 contender Leonardo Perdomo (8-0 bare-knuckle) and No. 4 contender Arnold Adams (7-4 bare-knuckle.) All fights on Friday are a maximum of five rounds at two minutes per round.

These two fighters first squared off earlier this summer during BKFC 78, won by the former, but it came with a bit of controversy after the Adams camp thought their fighter was short-changed on the referee’s 10-count after he was knocked down during the first round of the fight. How will the rematch play out?

Perdomo has yet to lose as a professional in bare-knuckle boxing. Before the original fight with Adams on July 12, he scored a 13-second knockout victory over Steve Herelius on March 27 in the selfsame Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL where BKFC 80 takes place.

It’ll be exactly 60 days between fights for Perdomo and Adams. Can the former go 2-for-2 against the latter in quick fashion?

Across the way, Arnold Adams returns to Hollywood for BKFC 80 this Friday having gone 2-3 in his last five fights. He’s lost three fights in a row, including a fourth-round knockout from Mick Terrill in December of 2023.

Adams’ teammates felt he was wronged by the referee’s 10-count two months ago. Will the rematch give him a clean win?

BKFC 80 Co-Main Event: No. 1 Contender Edgard Plazola vs. Gary Fox

Immediately beforehand, you’ll be seeing a title eliminator in the featherweight ranks. No. 1 contender Edgard Plazola (5-0 bare-knuckle) meets up with Gary Fox (3-2 bare-knuckle.) The top-ranked featherweight will be making the walk to the ring with his unbeaten record in the promotion intact.

On March 27, he bested Louie Lopez (4-5 bare-knuckle) by way of third-round knockout in BKFC Fight Night Hollywood. This is Plazola’s highest-profile fight yet under bare-knuckle rules.

Meanwhile, Fox has posted a 3-2 record in his last five contests. Most recently, he scored a first-round TKO by way of doctors’ stoppage after his opponent, Jonno Chipchase, couldn’t continue due to a cut at the end of the round. How will he fare here?

BKFC 80 Featured Fight: Yoel Romero vs. Theo Doukas

Also on BKFC 80, the featured fight of the evening happens at heavyweight. MMA veteran Yoel Romero (16-7 MMA, bare-knuckle debut) knuckles up for the first time when he takes on Theo Doukas (bare-knuckle debut.) Since leaving MMA behind in February of last year, “Soldier of God” has stayed busy in the world of combat sports.

This past March, he took part in the initial Dirty Boxing event, knocking out Ras Hylton in the third round. His age, however, is concerning. Romero is 48 years old. Can he prove that age is only a number?

In the other corner, Theo Doukas has posted a record of 2-2 in MMA. Last year, he was on the losing end of a second-round submission by way of Americana versus Cole Shafer (6-4 MMA.)

If Doukas’ form holds true, don’t expect to hear the final bell toll. He’s had none of his professional fights go to the scorecards.
