Bears Shoot Even Par On Final Day Of Tourney

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – The California men’s golf team shot even-par on the final day of the Folds of Honor Collegiate and finished in fifth place, just two shots out of third.
 
Senior Daniel Heo finished the tournament strong with a 4-under 67 on Wednesday, Cal’s best individual round during the week. Charlie Berridge and Sihao Cong were the Bears’ top overall finishers at 3-over apiece for the event, putting them part of a tie for 16th overall.

Heo was one shot behind for the tournament at 4-over, good for a tie for 19th. He recorded five birdies Wednesday, including three in a row on the back nine.

The Bears concluded the tournament at 12-over par as a team, one shot behind Cincinnati and Kansas, which tied for third.

Cal returns to the links Sept. 22-23 for The Tindall in Bremerton, Washington.
