Terence Crawford won’t have to cut too much weight in his next outing, which is set to go down this Saturday night (Sept. 13, 2025) against undisputed Super Middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Normally competing at 134 pounds, “Bud” is moving up two weight classes for the historic fight. And while he may not have to lose a lot of weight this time around to tip the scales at the required 148 pounds, it was obvious that he has been hitting the weight room and packing on the healthy calories according to this picture.

Fight fans were quick to notice the huge difference a few muscular pounds makes, with many saying that Crawford is looking “terrifying” ahead of the biggest challenge of his career. Canelo, however, isn’t all that impressed with his muscles, as he was quick to remind people that he has fought and defeated bigger men before.

“Nothing. Muscles for me do not mean anything,” said Canelo as he walked the red carpet for the traditional Grand Arrivals (video replay here). “I fought before with bigger guys and it means nothing,” he added before saying that one of the pro’s of Crawford’s new and improved physique proves that he is in for a great fight.

“But when I saw (the picture), you realize he make a good training camp and it made me happy because it’s going to be a good fight,” he said, before saying his experience fighting in the much higher weight class will come into affect come fight night.

“It could be a big factor. I am going to use all of my advantages during the ring, and we will see on Sept. 13,” concluded Canelo, who is looking to further cement his legacy as one of the greatest to ever step foot in the ring by handing Crawford his first-ever defeat.
