Polish cyclist Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka, riding for the Canyon-SRAM Zondacrypto team, won the Maryland Cycling Classic’s first-ever women’s race on Saturday.
Meanwhile, French rider Sandy Dujardin won the men’s race for Team TotalEnergies.
Cyclists came from around the globe the race through the streets of Baltimore during the third edition of the Maryland Cycling Classic. The racing event, which has previously begun in Baltimore County, was held solely in Baltimore City this year.
Over the cobblestones of Fells Point, and along the waterfront of the city’s Inner Harbor, riders were greeted by encouraging signs, ringing cowbells, and the enthusiastic cheers of spectators.
