Physician recruitment team Docs by the Bay has signed another doctor to serve the Quinte West and Brighton region.
Dr. Antonia Salhab is relocating from Oshawa to practise family medicine.
She says she is looking forward to moving to a smaller community and caring for patients in Quinte West and Brighton.
Dr. Salhab completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Toronto, earned her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in the Cayman Islands, and completed her residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois.
Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison welcomed the announcement saying, “On behalf of the City of Quinte West, I am pleased to welcome Dr. Salhab to our community. She will be a tremendous asset and will help expand vital access to primary care for our residents.”
Brighton Mayor Brian Ostrander added, “Brighton is delighted to see new physicians choosing our area. We’re grateful to Dr. Salhab for bringing her skills and compassion to local patients.”
In a release, Docs by the Bay thanked Dr. Evans for helping to recruit Dr. Salhab, as well as other local physicians.
Docs by the Bay does not keep a waitlist or connect individual patients with doctors.
