Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens have had an impressive start to the offseason, particularly with the acquisitions of Noah Dobson and Zachary Bolduc.

But despite these solid additions, one major issue remains for General Manager Kent Hughes.

Jack Roslovic Still Available: Carolina Hurricanes Didn’t Re-Sign Him and He Could Be a Center Option for the Montreal Canadiens

In fact, according to top journalist John Shannon, the action in the National Hockey League is far from over – and Roslovic is one of the key situations to watch.

John Shannon: “I still think we’re going to see a bump of trades coming, and so what we’re also then gonna see is a second wave of free agent signings; guys like Roslovic and Olofsson are gonna be in a position..they will get contracts”

Jack Roslovic, 28, is a 6-foot-1, 198-pound center who was a first-round pick by the Winnipeg Jets in 2015 (25th overall).

He has totaled 260 points in 526 career NHL games, including 102 goals, and his offensive potential is undeniable.

Last season with the Carolina Hurricanes, Roslovic recorded 22 goals and 17 assists for a total of 39 points in 81 games.

Over the past few seasons, Roslovic has produced at the following paces (per 82 games): 43 points, 47 points, 46 points, and 58 points!

Personally, I don’t think Roslovic is the home run everyone’s hoping for – but at the right price, as the team awaits the arrival of a young player like Michael Hage, I absolutely believe he’s a path worth exploring.
