A mere two months out from receiving his UFC contract, middleweight fighter Baisangur Susurkaev will compete for the promotion for a second time at UFC 322.

Baisangur Susurkaev Faces Eric McConico in Biggest UFC PPV of 2025

With the confetti still falling from his successful UFC debut, Baisangur Susurkaev will make his return to the cage opposite Eric McConico at Madison Square Garden this November. Immediately becoming a fan-favorite name following his short notice tilt at UFC 319, the 24-year old can really begin to get his momentum going with another highlight reel finish.

Baisangur Susurkaev Emerged as Middleweight’s Newest Attraction

Coming into prominence on the first episode of season nine of Dana White’s Contender Series, which started in August, Baisangur Susurkaev recorded a phenomenal first round knockout over Murtaza Talha. Delivering a heavy kick to the stomach of his fellow European, the Chechen bruiser brought down Talha in what would turn out to be the only stoppage on the entire card.

Receiving high praise from the show’s creator, Dana White, Susurkaev was granted an immediate fight in the company upon his request to participate at UFC 319 alongside his countryman Khamzat Chimaev.

There, the newest middleweight prospect came to blows with former CFFC champion Eric Nolan, who was also making his freshman outing to the Octagon. Fighting for the first time at 185-lb as a professional, “Night Time” had formerly competed solely as a welterweight, attaining such heights on the regional scene like capturing the CFFC 170-lb strap before his inclusion at UFC 319.

Despite having a major five-inch reach disadvantage, Nolan was able to land quite a few hard shots on Susurkaev, even appearing to rock him at one point. In the second round, however, the Chechen was able to ultimately sink in the rear-naked choke to come out on top.

McConico Got Himself Back on Track Last Month

Falling short in his first bout in the organization last February, McConico found himself on the wrong end of a massive knockout against nearly 50-fight veteran Nursulton Ruziboev. Seemingly putting everything together for his next contest, the MMA Lab product picked up a solid victory over middleweight standout Cody Brundage, besting him by unanimous decision. Although he may be 35-years of age, McConico looks to only be getting started in his UFC career as he aims to play spoiler to one of the hottest prospects in the promotion right now.
