We have our first excellent news live from Brossard at the 2025 Montreal Canadiens rookie camp.

So it’s fantastic news to see him skating today!
William Trudeau Just Hit the Ice in Brossard: His Serious Injury Seems to Be Healing More and More
He will definitely be a name to watch over the coming weeks.

For a few years now, Trudeau has seemed on the verge of knocking on the NHL’s door, but hasn’t had much luck (injury, depth on defense, etc.).
Will the 2025-26 season finally be his breakthrough?
We hope so, because he has clearly done everything right in recent years to earn such an opportunity.
William Trudeau, just 22 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound left-shot defenseman from Varennes.
He was a 4th-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2021 (113th overall) and recorded 19 points in 68 games last season with the Laval Rocket while maintaining a solid +14 rating.
Also worth noting: Joshua Jacobs was indeed on the ice with Trudeau.
Jacobs, 29, is a 6-foot-2, 223-pound right-shot defenseman and a 2014 second-round pick of the New Jersey Devils.
He tallied 5 points in 26 games last season with the Laval Rocket and has three games of NHL experience.
