One of the creators of Wednesday states that season 3 has “Lots to explore” when it comes to the Hyde’s mythology. Seasons 1 and 2 of Wednesday are based on the titular Addams Family character. It explored her adventures at Nevermore Academy as she navigated her first year as a student. Wednesday season 3 has been confirmed to start filming in 2026.
In an interview with TheWrap, co-creator of Wednesday, Miles Millar, spoke about having a lot to explore with the Hyde Mythology in season 3, and how we did not learn too much about them in the first two seasons. He also discussed what we do know of the Hyde when it comes to the scenes in season 2, and what questions probably popped up for viewers. He did claim that they did not intend to have the audience learn more than they did. Check out his comments below:
It’s the idea that we only know so much about Hydes, but is there more to know? It’s like everything in life. You’re told these things, but then once you get into it, you realize, Oh, is there more to it? Is there a way around it? People have had this condition. It’s like living with a terminal illness that you know is going to kill you, but it’s somebody always looking for a way to live when you’ve been handed a death sentence. There’s a great moment in the climactic fight on the rooftops between mother and son, and you see the moment where Francois lets go, she’s dying anyway. And at that moment, and you see the panic in his eyes, and where’s he going next? What’s gonna happen to him? Even though she’s kind of the worst mother in the world, but he is now alone again. I think for him, it’s always that he doesn’t want to be alone. I think that’s the thing. I think he is more accepting of his Hyde self. But also, there’s a self-hatred there, and what that means. It’s lots to explore in season 3, but certainly it wasn’t our intention to get any more into the Hyde’s mythology this season.

Much was left unsaid at the end of season 2, and many of the characters’ fates were left with a big question mark, but we do know that Tyler’s cliffhanger had him running off to find a Hyde pack where he can live without having a master. We are bound to learn more about that in season 3, and the Hyde in particular. With the previous seasons introducing us to the characters and Nevermore, the third could build upon what has been created. It could introduce other worlds and their mythologies.
Although there was so much at the end of season 2 that shocked viewers, it’s apparent that Tyler’s fate is going to be a big part of the upcoming season. While the main storylines in season 3 have not yet been revealed, it will definitely take us into the world of the Hyde, where we will see more of Tyler and its lore.

To learn more about the Hyde mythology and the Hyde in general would definitely be something that could benefit season 3. With season 2 ending the way it did, it would only make sense that we would see where Tyler went and learn more about the Hyde through his journey.
Millar was certainly right when he said there is a lot to explore with the Hyde, and it could really bring a whole new aspect to the show. To let viewers learn the lore behind these monsters would be fascinating, and creating a world inside of Wednesday that has not been tapped into too much in previous seasons would be compelling.
Inviting fans of Wednesday to a whole new world of people and introducing them to an environment outside Nevermore could freshen up the show and make season 3 an eye-opening experience.
