In 2021, 18-year-old Emma Raducanu shocked the sporting world after becoming the first player to win a Grand Slam, the US Open, as a qualifier. Raducanu played and won three qualifying matches to progress to the main draw, where she beat Stefanie Vögele, Zhang Shuai, Sara Sorribes Tormo, Shelby Rogers, Belinda Bencic, Maria Sakkari, and then fellow teenager at the time, Leylah Fernandez, in the final inside Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Raducanu beat the Canadian, who reached the quarterfinals of the Women’s Doubles alongside tennis Great Venus Williams earlier this month at the US Open, 6-4, 6-3. Raducanu incredibly never dropped a set in the tournament before lifting the US Open trophy, and her stardom enjoyed a meteoric takeoff.
Raducanu became one of tennis’s most marketable players overnight, and it’s seen her brush shoulders with British Royalty, earn millions of dollars in prize money and endorsements, and gain millions of followers on social media. However, since her US Open win four years ago, Raducanu has struggled to compete for major titles, with the Grand Slam her only WTA title.
Raducanu’s career has since been plagued with injuries, and she’s yet to reach the quarterfinals of a Slam following her historic win. Express Sport US does a deep dive on all things Raducanu.
Emma Raducanu’s net worth
The 22-year-old has amassed a net worth of $17.61 million thanks to prize money and lucrative endorsement deals.
Raducanu has won $5.84M in prize money since bursting onto the major scene in 2021 at the US Open.
Raducanu has earned more money off the tennis court than on it. She began working with British Airways, Dior, Evian, HSBC, Porsche, Tiffany, Vodafone, and joined Nike. Forbes reports that Raducanu has earned $12M in endorsements.
However, Raducanu recently lost her endorsement deal with Vodafone, which was said to earn her $4M annually. Raducanu reportedly pushed things too far in negotiations despite playing far from the best she showed in Flushing Meadows four years ago.

Raducanu contested a final, a battle between two teenagers, against Canadian Fernandez, and won in straight sets. On her run to the final, Raducanu managed to avoid the defending champion, Naomi Osaka, who made the semis this year. Osaka was toppled in the third round, ending her US Open title defense.
