The Chicago Blackhawks and goaltender Spencer Knight have agreed to a three-year, $17.49 million extension with an annual cap hit of $5.83 million, according to TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston.
The Blackhawks acquired Knight before last year’s trade deadline, along with a 2026 first-round pick from the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenceman Seth Jones and a 2026 fourth-round pick.
In 15 games with Chicago last season, the 24-year-old Knight registered a .896 save percentage and 3.18 goals against average.
The 6-foot-3 netminder is entering the final season of a $13.5 million deal with a cap hit of $4.5 million.
In 95 career games, the Darien, Conn. native has a .904 save percentage and a 2.83 goals against average.
