Canadian Collegiate Invitational
Course: Öviinbyrd Golf Club – MacTier, Ontario
Dates: Sunday-Tuesday, Sept. 14-16, 2025
Format: 54 holes – Round 1 begins Sunday with tee times off Holes #1 and #7 (9:00 a.m. ET and 8:30 a.m. ET), followed by 18 holes Monday, and a 9:00 a.m. ET shotgun start for the final round on Tuesday.

Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason golf team will head north of the border to compete in the prestigious Canadian Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Golf Canada in partnership with Kent State and Penn State, September 14–16.

The tournament features 11 NCAA programs along with the University of British Columbia, the reigning Canadian University/College Team Champions. Teams will play three rounds at Öviinbyrd Golf Club, a world-class private course located in Ontario’s Muskoka region, known for its challenging layout and scenic views.

Roster Outlook:

Mason’s five-man lineup for the event features a mix of experience and fresh faces. Senior Vaughn McMeans leads the Patriots alongside returning standouts Philipp Krone and JJ Powell. Rounding out the group are juniors Dave Fuhrer and Uzair Mirza, both looking to build on strong offseason play.

Up Next:

Following their trip to Canada, the Patriots will stay on the road, heading to Annapolis, Md., for the Navy The Goat Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Course, Sept. 20–21.
