In his tell-all memoir, Prince Harry unleashed  a barrage of explosive allegations against the Royal Family, including revealing the question Meghan Markle posed to Kate Middleton that seemingly ignited their bitter rivalry.

Spare witnessed the Duke of Sussex detail how mere weeks following the Royal wedding, a confrontation erupted between his brother Prince William, Princess Kate, and Meghan Markle after William took exception to Meghan’s allegedly offensive remarks toward Kate.

The quartet had purportedly gathered to attempt to “ease tensions” among them when Harry and Meghan returned from their African honeymoon.

The Prince and Princess of Wales had extended an invitation to Harry and Meghan at their Kensington Palace apartment following a string of disputes, including one incident where Kate allegedly broke down in tears during a bridesmaid dress fitting for her daughter, Princess Charlotte.

Nevertheless, the conversation reportedly went awry after Meghan supposedly informed Kate that she must have “baby brain because of her hormones.”

The Duke also alleges in his memoir that when Meghan first entered William and Kate’s apartment, she was amazed by the lavish décor, including priceless artworks, books, and furniture, repeatedly exclaiming, “Wow.”

He noted that they had contrasted it with their own living space, where they had Ikea lamps and furniture “we’d recently bought on sale with Meg’s credit card on sofa.com.”

Harry maintained that Kate was irritated and insisted on an apology from Meghan regarding the hormone remark, which Meghan initially claimed she couldn’t recall.

Nevertheless, she then clarified, “I remember: you had forgotten something and I said that it didn’t matter, that it was because of pregnancy. Because you just had a child. Because of the hormones.”

Harry stated Kate responded, “We are not close enough for you to talk about my hormones.”

Meghan attempted to smooth things over by explaining she communicated with all her friends in that manner.

This prompted William to step in, and Meghan instructed him to stop pointing in her face before admitting she had not meant to upset Kate.

According to Harry, the foursome then embraced and parted ways. In his book, Revenge, Royal author Tom Bower alleges that Kate Middleton and Meghan had a disagreement over the fit and length of Princess Charlotte’s dress.

He suggests that Meghan’s stance was backed by bridesmaid Jessica Mulroney, adding, “Some would say that Meghan compared Ivy [Mulroney’s daughter] favorably against Charlotte.”
