On Saturday September 13, 2025, shortly after 10:30 PM, Hamilton Police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Mohawk Road West and Ashton Road.
An incident occurred involving a VW SUV that resulted in critical injury to one of its occupants. A witness stopped to assist. A subsequent collision occurred between the VW and the witness vehicle. The VW fled the scene but was abandoned nearby.
All investigative avenues are being considered at this time.
Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Any potential witnesses to this collision are urged to come forward. Investigators are also requesting any motorists in the area at the time of the collision to check their dash cameras and any residences or businesses in the area with surveillance cameras to review their camera footage.
