The New York Rangers have turned to a franchise icon for the team’s first sponsorship patch.
The logo for Mark Messier’s Game 7 brand will appear on the Blueshirts’ shoulders in 2025-2026.
“This partnership unites a legendary franchise, the world’s most iconic arena and a brand created to inspire people to rise to their greatest challenges,” Messier said in a statement. “As the Rangers celebrate 100 years, it’s an honor to play a role in connecting the team’s history with its future and to help bring even more unforgettable experiences to fans who have always been at the heart of this organization.”
A multi-platform sports and entertainment brand, Game 7 counts the legendary Danny De Vito among its co-founders alongside Messier.
A native of Edmonton, Messier spent a decade with the Rangers over two stints from 1991 to 1997 and 2000 to his retirement in 2004. In 698 games with the team, Messier notched 250 goals and 441 assists. Most famously, Messier led the team to the 1994 Stanley Cup, the Rangers’ first championship in 54 seasons.
The Rangers open their 2025-2026 campaign on Oct. 7 at home to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
