Max Verstappen has offered words of praise for Kimi Antonelli amid rumours of the 19-year-old facing fears of losing his seat at Mercedes. Verstappen told Motorsport Week, “Making mistakes in your first season in F1 is part of the equation. What I like most about him is that he doesn’t take it easy. He always gives it his all, and I see myself in him.”“Could he do better? Of course. But I know how talented he is… it shows. He just needs a little patience, like everyone else. It’s not easy starting with a top team, which, moreover, isn’t consistently fighting for wins. He’ll be fine, he just needs a little time,” the Red Bull star added.

Kimi Antonelli shared his excitement for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Tuesday. He posted a few pictures showing his prep ahead of the Baku weekend and wrote, “We’re back street racing this week. Andiamo (let’s go)!”His fans showed their support in the comments section. One fan wrote, “Good luck Kimi, we trust you.” Another commented, “Way to go Kimi!! Going to be a good week of racing.” Many also wrote “Forza Kimi” in Italian, which translates to “you can do it.”
