Keaton Vo made four birdies on the back nine to shoot 2-under-par 68 Tuesday and lead the North Carolina Tar Heels to a berth in the championship match of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Ill.
 
The Tar Heels finished second in the six-team field at 11-under-par 829, three strokes behind LSU but one shot better than Arizona. LSU and UNC will play in the championship match on Wednesday.
 
Vo was 2 over through six holes today but birdied 10, 11, 14 and 15 then parred out to tie for third place in the individual standings. The senior from Austin, Texas, shot rounds of 71-67-68 for 4-under 206.
 
Andrew Riley (65-71-71) tied for seventh at 3-under 207, Carson Bertagnole (70-69-70) tied for 13th at 1-under 209, Niall Sheils Donegan (72-68-70) tied for 16th at even-par 210 and Sihan Sandhu (71-69-72) placed 25th at 2-over 212.
 
The Tar Heels shot 277-273-279.
 
LSU earned the top seed for match play at 14-under 826. Carolina was second at 829, Arizona third at 830, Northwestern fourth at 837, Texas fifth at 838 and SMU sixth at 844.
 
The Mustangs’ William Sides won the individual title for the second year in a row by shooting 68-66-69 for 7-under 203.
 
The Tar Heels and Tar Heels will square off in match play beginning at 1:31 p.m. Eastern. Golf Channel will provide live coverage beginning at 4 p.m. Eastern.
