It looks like the Ottawa Redblacks could get their starting quarterback back for what essentially is a must-win game.

Dru Brown (knee) was listed as a full participant at practice on Tuesday, as the Redblacks started preparations for Saturday’s home game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Brown dressed as the third-stringer but did not play in last week’s loss to the B.C. Lions. Dustin Crum has started the last three games in Brown’s absence.

The Redblacks (4-9) sit four points back of a playoff spot. Winnipeg (6-7) is one of the teams Ottawa is chasing.

Limited to eight games this season, Brown has thrown for 1,842 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Blue Bombers starting quarterback Zach Collaros was listed as limited for Tuesday’s first practice of the week.

Collaros suffered a head injury on Sept. 6 versus Saskatchewan and did not dress for last week’s loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Blue Bombers coach Mike O’Shea told reporters there was no update on Collaros.

Montreal Alouettes starting quarterback Davis Alexander (hamstring) remained limited as the team returned to practice ahead of Friday’s road game against the Toronto Argonauts.

Alexander has missed the past seven games.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson started last week and was excellent in Montreal’s surprise win over the league-leading Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Bethel-Thompson took first-team reps at practice Tuesday, per Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette. He figures to get a shot against his old Argos team in a battle for second in the CFL East on Friday.

Argos down to third quarterback

It looks like Jarret Doege will make his first start as an Argonaut on Friday.

Nick Arbuckle (calf) and Chad Kelly (leg) did not practice on Tuesday. Arbuckle was hurt late in last week’s win over the Elks before Doege came in and led the Argos on a game-winning field-goal drive.

Kelly hasn’t played since suffering a serious injury in last year’s East final.
