Melania Trump has accompanied her husband Donald Trump to the UK this week for a state visit, but critics haven’t been impressed with the First Lady’s outfit choices

Melania Trump has been awkwardly compared to Darkwing Duck due to her bold outfit when meeting the royal family.
The First Lady joined her husband Donald Trump for his UK state visit, during which the couple met with Prince William and Kate Middleton on Wednesday. Melania was seen wearing an all-black outfit which she paired with a gigantic plum-colored hat, hiding much of her face.
Her outfit choice sparked widespread chatter online, with many suggesting Melania made a fashion faux-pas with her look. Other people shared theories she had been replaced with a “fake Melania” and was using the hat to hide.

One particularly brutal critic shared a picture of Melania alongside Disney’s Darkwing Duck. “What exactly is Melania’s outfit saying?” the critic questioned in the post.

They added, “Perhaps it’s “Yes Donald, a duck is definitely out of the question.” #StateVisit #MelaniaTrump.” Other critics jumped on the post to share their thoughts.
“Definitely a lamp shade from the Purple Room – hoping no one notices. Great souvenir from the palace,” one person joked as another shared, “Donald’s favourite person, the hamburgler.”
A fourth critic joked, “Ducking for cover?” while someone else added, “Or maybe she’s trying to hide her facial expressions while having to be in his proximity!”

The Darkwing Duck comparison came as other people speculated it was a “fake Melania” accompanying the President. “The fake Melania has to hide her face,” one person alleged on X.
Another poster speculated, “Are they trying hide that it’s the fake Melania?” A third posted, “Melania is dressed again hiding her face and looks like she is going to a royal funeral. FAKE MELANIA OR REAL??”
Theories that Melania has been replaced by a body double have followed the First Lady for months, with the speculation coming from her choice to often cover her face with huge hats. Melania was photographed alongside her husband as they arrived at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom on Wednesday for their second state visit to meet with King Charles.
Today, Melania has been spending time with Queen Camilla, touring Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library at Windsor Castle. She will shortly join Kate Middleton at Frogmore Cottage to meet the Chief Scout and members of the Scouts’ Squirrels program.
