The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed offensive lineman Spencer Brown to a future contract that begins in 2026 on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Spencer Brown is six foot six and weighs 314 pounds. The 25-year-old from Canton, Michigan, attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Brown played five seasons at Michigan State (2019-23), starting 24 of 33 games playing right tackle (22 games) and left tackle (2 games). In 2023, he played 541 total snaps, which ranked him second among offensive linemen and fourth overall on offense.
Michigan State averaged 15.92 points per game, 89.5 rushing yards per game, 199.83 passing yards per game, 289.3 total yards per game, 22 touchdowns, and allowed 25 sacks, finishing 4-8 for the season.
Then, he transferred to Oklahoma in 2024. He played 13 games, of which five were starts at right tackle. In 2024, Oklahoma averaged 24 points per game, 155.2 rushing yards per game, 175.85 passing yards per game, 331 total yards per game, 38 touchdowns, and allowed 50 sacks, finishing 6-7 for the season.
