Greek tourism has registered its best July ever, as well as reaching record levels in January-July in arrivals and receipts.

In the first seven months of the year, arrivals of non-residents increased by 2.6% and the relevant receipts by 12.5% year-on-year, per the Bank of Greece. This increase in receipts is greater than inflation, which translates into a significant increase in real prices.

Travel receipts amounted to 12.182 billion euros in the seven-month period.

The first indications from the passenger traffic data at Greek airports in August also show the same trends, although there is no picture of travel receipts yet.
