A Blueshirt made an impact in a losing effort for the New York Islanders on Sunday.

18-year-old Kitchener Rangers forward Luca Romano was wearing Islanders colours on Sunday as they took on the Philadelphia Flyers.

The game went all the way to a shootout, where young Romano netted a shootout goal in the 10th round.

In spite of Romano’s impressive effort, the Islanders went on to lose 3-2 to the Flyers.

His teammates back in Kitchener were impressive to begin their season, winning on opening night and in their first road trip.
