A Squamish home built “directly into the granite mountainside” has been listed for sale at $6.85 million.
The property, called The Sanctuary, is located on High Creek Drive in the Crumpit Woods neighbourhood in Squamish.
The 3,979-square-foot house was completed in 2019 and includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The home was designed by Vancouver-and Edmonton-based BattersbyHowat Architects, a firm recognized for projects that connect modern architecture with natural landscapes.
In this case, the house was constructed by “cutting into 100-million-year-old granite,” with each level angled to take in views of the Stawamus Chief, Howe Sound, and the surrounding forest.
