One of the biggest Bantamweight fights Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has yet to book is Sean O’Malley vs. Cory Sandhagen. If things line up correctly, “Suga” believes it could finally go down on one of the most unique stages in combat sports history — the upcoming UFC White House card next year.

Well, that’s what O’Malley hopes will happen, anyway.

“Yeah, the White House card,” O’Malley said recently on his podcast. “If Cory goes out there and wins — and I beat whoever is next — that’s interesting. But regardless, I want to fight in the next four to five months or whatever. So, that I’ll also be ready for that.

“UFC said [the White House card] could be in June, International Fight Week or July,” O’Malley added. “So if I can get one in early next year or at the end of the year — one of the two, count me in, I want to be on that card. Dude, being on the Sphere card and the White House card, these are legendary moments that are once in a lifetime f—king moments.”

O’Malley is currently without a booked fight, though rumors continue to swirl about a possible matchup versus Song Yadong later this year. If “Suga” were to deliver a highlight-reel finish, it wouldn’t take much for him to angle right back into title contention — especially because he’s “earned his spot.”

Still, if the stars align, a showdown between O’Malley and Sandhagen on the White House lawn would be iconic — the kind of fight that feels destined to happen. Although I’d watch them fight two blocks down the road on the basketball court if need be.
