The only thing saving the Tennessee Titans from being at the bottom of every single NFL power rankings is the New Orleans Saints. The Titans play the Saints in week 17. What are the odds that both of those teams enter that game winless? I’d say they are pretty good. That game will likely decide who gets the first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Woo!

The only real thing the Titans currently have going for them over the Saints is Cam Ward. You can say what you want about watching this team, but having to watch Spencer Rattler play quarterback every week has to be a pretty miserable experience.

Here is a look at where the Titans rank in various power rankings around the internet:

The Titans have allowed 147.7 rushing yards per game (third most in the league), primarily because of missed tackles. Opposing offenses have had explosive touchdown runs in each of Tennessee’s three losses. Colts running back Jonathan Taylor’s 45-yard touchdown run on Sunday is a good example, as he broke four tackles on the play. Rams wide receiver Puka Nucua broke three tackles on a 45-yard TD rush in Week 2. And Broncos running back J.K Dobbins broke two tackles on a 19-yard rush to the end zone that sealed Denver’s Week 1 win. — Turron Davenport

Will this be two years in a row that a head coach is fired midseason despite his team just spending the No. 1 draft pick on a QB? The Titans are 3-17 under Brian Callahan, and the Nashville natives were quite restless during Sunday’s 21-point loss to Indy.

With a pick-six less than a minute into the game, two missed field-goal tries and some painful penalties, the Titans put themselves in a deep hole they couldn’t get out of against the Colts. That’s now two home losses where they’ve been outclassed by better-caliber teams, giving them a clear measuring stick to aim for — one they can’t quite yet reach. The most concerning element was the lack of energy early, and Colts WR Michael Pittman said he could sense it in pre-game warmups. Brian Callahan has a lot of work to do to keep this team competitive. They can build around Cam Ward and a few of their encouraging offensive pieces, but they’ve been borderline anemic offensively for stretches and not much better defensively. With three straight (and four of the next five) on the road, the Titans have to turn the tide quickly or risk another long, losing season.

The Titans are a mess. The delay of game penalty on a field-goal attempt that led to a 62-yard miss, two weeks after head coach Brian Callahan didn’t challenge a catch because he didn’t know the rule, is mounting evidence that Tennessee is wasting Cam Ward’s rookie season, like Caleb Williams last year.

Brian Callahan could be the first coach to be fired during the 2025 season.
