Apple Arcade will add NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition on October 16th, providing basketball fans a fresh way to play through the sport’s biggest moments with new modes, and updated content.
A new feature called NBA Eras allows players to start with defining matchups such as Larry Bird versus Magic Johnson, then experience historic drafts and championships from different eras, complete with iconic players known as GOATs.
MyCAREER mode gets updates as well. Players will have templates so they can more easily build their MyPLAYER after templates inspired by legends including Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, or this year’s cover star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. These templates make it possible to aim for builds with similar style, attributes, or signature moves.
Multiplayer options are also improved. Players can go online, play with friends in one-on-one or two-on-two matches, invite friends to customized courts, or compete in other multiplayer MyCAREER showdowns.
Graphics and presentation are tuned for Apple platforms. Whether you play on an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV or Vision Pro the visual fidelity is designed to look strong and consistent.
This edition of NBA 2K26 Arcade marks Apple Arcade’s continuing push to expand its lineup of premium sports titles. The NBA Eras mode offers something different than simply playing current matches: it turns back time so users can enjoy how the sport evolved, while also mixing in modern elements such as current rosters and online multiplayer.
NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition will be available through Apple Arcade which costs $12.99 per month in Canada, with a one-month free trial.
