Police are looking for suspects after a home in a new suburb of London was riddled with bullets early Tuesday morning.
The incident was reported to police at around 8 a.m., but police say the shooting happened at about 3 a.m. on Crown Grant Road, a street of large single-family homes between Byron and Lambeth.Â
Police say a dark-coloured sedan parked on nearby Pack Road at that time and a suspect got out and walked up to a home in the 6000-block of Crown Grant Road.Â
“Multiple rounds were fired into the residence, with a vehicle and garage door sustaining damage,” police said.Â
Investigators are now looking for dashcam or surveillance footage from the area of Crown Grant Road and Pack Road taken between 2:50 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. on Sept. 23.Â
There were no injuries reported, and police believe the home was targeted.Â
“Violent incidents, particularly those involving firearms, pose serious safety concerns to the individuals directly involved and threaten feelings of safety and wellbeing throughout the wider community,” police said in a statement.Â
“The London Police Service will continue to employ intelligence-based enforcement and crime prevention strategies to enhance public safety, while prioritising the investigation of gun violence to ensure those responsible for it are held to account.”
