Indiana Fever practice before WNBA playoffs Game 3

Here’s how it looked inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the Fever practice before hosting Game 3 on Friday.

INDIANAPOLIS — Two Indiana Fever players are heading to blue skies and warm beaches this winter.

Unrivaled, a 3×3 basketball league founded by WNBA players Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, announced that both Lexie Hull and Kelsey Mitchell will be playing in the league this winter.

This will be Hull’s second season playing in Unrivaled during the WNBA offseason. She won the Unrivaled championship with Rose BC in the league’s inaugural season in early 2025.

Mitchell will be joining Unrivaled for the first time, staying stateside after multiple years playing overseas. She played in China for a portion of last season, but didn’t return after she broke her finger and returned to Indianapolis to sign her core contract with the Fever in January 2025.

Even with a broken finger this Fever season, Mitchell has had one of the best years of her career. She was an MVP finalist, averaging 20.2 points and 3.4 assists and starting every game on a team that has been ravaged by injuries.

Mitchell is slated to be an unrestricted free agent following the 2025 season, but she is also eligible to be cored again. The Fever gave her a $20,000 time-off bonus, which limits her time playing in other professional leagues to 90 days or fewer. Unrivaled’s schedule fits within those 90 days, as it will start Jan. 5, 2026, and end in early March, depending on the league’s playoff structure.

Both Mitchell and Hull have ample 3×3 experience, as they were part of the player pool for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Hull won a gold medal at the FIBA 3×3 Pan American Games, and Mitchell won a gold medal as part of the 3×3 AmeriCup team.
